1940's

Casablanca 1942

Wow, I finally saw this movie all the way through and loved it! I made time for it, and my not seeing it prior, was not because I didn't want to. I was not able to stay for the whole viewing of it. This move was interesting, and had history woven throughout the tale. I love Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart and the history there between them. I was surprised that she had been married when they were together, and that put the only little damper I can think of, on it. Still, it had those classic lines like, "Here's looking at you kid".

This is a must see movie if you have never seen it, if for not other reason than its just that great of a classic. I love the time frame, the actors, the story line and the passion involved. Dooley Wilson as Sam was very lovable too. His character was magnetic. The song, as time goes by just is kind of the cherry on top. I hope to watch it again before long and enjoy a second time through. In the mean time, I have many other movies to catch up on as I can.

Notorious 1946

This film was based on Alfred Hitchcock's story and he also directed it. I really enjoyed watching this, it had a great story line and love affair throughout. As always things can get complicated when love, lots of money and power all come together but it makes for some great twists and turns. I loved Ingrid Bergman, and Cary Grant in this movie! It was pretty intersting to see how things would turn out in the end. Great flick and story, you ought to see it some time!
